We all know that New Year's resolutions aren't the easiest things to stick to but, with a bit of help and guidance, you can achieve everything you want and more.

Here are some realistic resolutions for you:

If you like spending time with your friends...

Why not start playing a new sport together? Depending on how many of you there are, you could start a 5-a-side team or if there are even more of you, something like Ultimate Frisbee. Either way, you'll have a laugh!

If you're all about chilled vibes...

Why not give yoga or Tai Chi a go? These are some of the best things you can do to stay physically and mentally well at uni. It will give you that bit of escapism from all your uni stresses (studying, homesickness, budgeting etc).

If you like being creative...

Why not create your own blog or YouTube channel? Put your creativity to good use and make something amazing. You could write or talk about the things in your university experience or things that you're interested in. Better yet? You could blog with us!

If you're into fitness...

Why not set yourself a physical challenge? Use this opportunity to push yourself and achieve something you've not done before. How about a 10k run? Maybe even a marathon, if you dare...

If you love animals...

Why not volunteer at Dogs Trust or RSPCA? Not only would you be doing something that would make you happy, but it's also such a good deed to help all the adorable dogs and cats. Who could say no to that face?

If you have some extra time on your hands...

Why not learn something that'll benefit you after uni? Having a degree is amazing, but without any added extras, you won't really stand out from other applicants. Challenge yourself to learn a language, teach yourself to play an instrument or get some work experience.

Hopefully, you'll achieve everything you set out to do and if you don't quite manage it, there's always next year!
