We have another date for your diary - our local farmers market which is located at the County Square on Saturday 10 June.
They sell a huge variety of locally sourced produce, from dairy products, meat products to fresh fruit and vegetables. The market began back in 2000 and is a hit with the locals, and has even won recognition from the BBC Good Food Magazine as among the best Farmers Market in the UK.
Produce on offer include

- Ayrshire hill lamb
- Limousin steaks
- Home made pies
- Bacon
- Chicken
- Fish
- Local west coast seafood
- Fresh vegetables - including organic products too
- Potatoes,
- home baking
- free range eggs and chicken stalls

- Cheeses
- Chutneys
- Soup
- Ice-cream made locally
- Olive appetizers and snacks
- Vegetarian and gluten free produce
- Hebridean whisky liqueurs
- Locally brewed beer
- Healthy fruit drinks
Occasionally, we also have live cookery demonstrations featuring famous chefs. We also like to put on some live music from local bands.
